Dealer who transported drugs to Cambridge from London has been jailed
A drug dealer who brought heroin and crack cocaine to Cambridge from London has been jailed for almost six years.
Abdifitah Khalif, 33, was involved in the “Ace” drugs line between May 2022 and July last year and delivered class A drugs to areas including Arbury, Mill Road and East Road.
Kahlif’s dealing came to light after an operation by the Metropolitan Police saw an associate arrested in Hackney in August last year. The associate’s personal phone was downloaded and the top contact was a number linked to Khalif.
Further phone work revealed Khalif travelling multiple times between London and Cambridge and sending messages to drug users in Cambridge.
He was arrested at his home in Priory Court, Walthamstow, on August 23 last year, with three burner phones found in the property as well as £285 in cash found on him.
Khalif was jailed for five years and 11 months on Friday (1 March) at Peterborough Crown Court, having pleaded guilty to four counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
DC Daniel Knight said: “Drugs are immensely harmful to everyone who comes into contact with them so I am pleased we have helped to put another dealer behind bars.”
