A ‘sudden death’ was recorded in a residential area of Cambridge earlier today.

Emergency vehicles congregated in Cavendish Road - which connects to Mill Road - this morning, including an air ambulance which was filmed by a witness landing at Romsey Recreation Ground.

An as-yet-unnamed woman was later said to have died in what police described as a ‘sudden death’.

“We were called just before 9.30am on Saturday, July 25, to Cavendish Road in Cambridge,” said Cambridgeshire Police.

“The call relates to the sudden death of a woman – it’s not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed on to the coroner.”

No further details were available as of July 27.
