Detectives investigating murder of Julie Buckley find human remains
Human remains have been discovered in a field off Blue Lane, Wimblington, following information received by detectives investigating the murder of Julie Buckley.
Officers received information from Karl Hutchings’ defence team about a potential burial site and following searches found remains.
Hutchings, of The Hill, Christchurch, near Wisbech, pleaded guilty to the murder of Julie at Cambridge Crown Court on Monday (15 September). He is next due in court on 24 October.
Julie’s family have been made aware of the discovery and a post-mortem will take place next week. A scene is likely to remain in place for the next week.
Detective Chief Insp Richard Stott said: “Julie’s family have been made aware of this significant update and are being supported by specially trained officers.”
