Driver, 20, from Cambridge left with life-threatening injuries after crash in Stow-cum-Quy




A 20-year-old driver from Cambridge was left with life-threatening injuries after his car struck a concrete bridge and set alight.

Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a crash at about 9.30pm on Saturday (July 30) in Stow-cum-Quy.

A silver Vauxhall Astra was travelling on Little Wilbraham Road in the direction of Six Mile Bottom when it struck a concrete bridge and set alight.

The driver was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it, to get in touch via 101 or online quoting incident 477 of 30 July.
