Driver fails to stop after collision in Cambridgeshire that left cyclist seriously injured

A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being involved in collision in which the driver failed to stop.

Emergency services were called at 8.26pm on Monday (March 21) to reports of the incident in Ely Road, Chittering.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remained yesterday in a stable condition.

Police said the driver did not stop and have launched an investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw a car with bodywork damage in the area at the time or has any other information, including dash cam footage, is urged to contact the force online, via web chat or by calling 101, quoting incident 417 of 21 March.
