Driver hits A428 roundabout in Cambridgeshire and crashes into lamppost

This was the result after a driver hit a roundabout and crashed into a lamppost just after midnight today (Monday, 25 March).

Police were called to the scene on the A428 at Caxton just after 12.40am and reported that the driver “had a lucky escape”.

A spokesperson said: “Officers and paramedics attended the scene, as well as the fire service due to a fuel leak. The scene was cleared by 2.30am. No serious injuries were reported.”

No other vehicles were involved.
