Driver seriously injured in A10 crash near Ely




A 40-year-old driver has been left with serious injuries after a collision on the A10 near Ely.

A black Hyundai Ioniq and a black Mercedes EQA, both travelling between Ely and Littleport, were involved in a head-on collision at about 7.15am on Tuesday (14 January).

The driver of the Hyundai, a 40-year-old man from Ely, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 28-year-old woman from Littleport, and her one-year-old child, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in King’s Lynn, with minor injuries.

Sergeant Duncan Hall said: “We would urge anyone to come forward who may have left the scene prior to police arrival or has dashcam footage of the collision or vehicles involved just prior.”

Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage should report it through the force website using reference Op Palace and incident 58 of 14 January. Anyone without internet access should call 101.
