They watched him return to his black Nissan Qashqai a few moments later and spoke to him. The 31-year-old, from Duke Street, Northampton, could not account for why he went into the park and then gave the officers a false name and address.

He later admitted he had drugs in the car and officers found cocaine, cannabis, mobile phone and £200 in cash.

At Huntingdon Law Courts on 8 August, Beqa was sentenced to 20 months in prison after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of criminal property, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

PC James Good, from the neighbourhood support team, said: “Drug dealers like Beqa are not welcome in Cambridgeshire and we will continue to seek them out and put them before the courts.

“We urge members of the public to report their drug dealing concerns to us.”
