East Anglian Air Ambulance responds as man falls in Cambourne




The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to Cambourne on Thursday afternoon following reports of a man injured in a fall.

One ambulance, two hazardous area response team vehicles, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle were also called to School Lane, on the edge of the Country Park, close to the A1198 entrance to Lower Cambourne.

They were assisted by colleagues from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service to extricate the man and he was transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further assessment and care.

An East Anglian Air Ambulance spokesperson said: “Anglia Two was tasked near to Cambridge to assist the East of England Ambulance Service with a patient who had suffered an accidental injury. Doctor Adam and critical care paramedic Sally supported EEAST at the scene. The patient was then taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment.”
