Electric bike stolen in Histon by passenger of Mercedes after collision that leaves rider with serious injuries




An electric bicycle was stolen by the passenger of a car after a collision in Histon - and the rider was left nursing serious injuries.

A 27-year-old man, from West Yorkshire, was riding the electric bike on Glebe Way when he was involved in the collision with a white or silver Mercedes at about 10.45pm on 27 June.

The passenger of the Mercedes got out and rode off on the man’s bike towards Cambridge, followed by the Mercedes, leaving the man with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital and has been discharged but has yet to recover fully from his injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has seen the purple and green electric bike pictured, is urged to contact police via Cambridgeshire Constabulary's website quoting 35/46035/24.
