The family of a woman found dead in Histon have paid tribute to her as “one of the friendliest people” you could meet.
Sian Hammond, 46, was found at her house in Primes Corner on October 30. Her husband, Robert James Hammond - who is generally known by his middle name - has been charged with her murder.
The 47-year-old, of Primes Corner, Histon, was arrested on Friday, November 10 and taken into custody. He appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday (November 13), speaking only to confirm his name and address and was remanded in custody. He will appear at Cambridge Crown Court on December 11.
The family of Sian Hammond said: “Everyone that knew her would agree Sian was one of the friendliest people you could have the pleasure of meeting, and she will be sorely missed by many.
“Please bear with us whilst we come to terms with this terrible loss. We will keep everyone updated with the funeral arrangements.”
Ms Hammond was the principal and director of Limetree Financial Services, a mortgage broker based at Vision Park in Histon, and is survived by two teenage daughters.
