Fantastic' A-level results for Hills Road Sixth Form College
Students at Hills Road Sixth Form College are celebrating, with more than 40 per cent of grades awarded at A and A*.
Having topped the published A-level league tables for sixth form colleges for the past 25 years, Hills Road has sustained its outstanding student outcomes in 2018.
Students achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in the majority of subjects, with an average pass rate in the remaining subjects of 99 per cent, making the overall college pass rate a stunning 99.5 per cent.
More than 40 per cent of grades awarded were the top A and A* grades, with 72 per cent of grades achieving A*- B.
These fantastic results mean that Hills Road students are once again exceptionally well placed to secure their first choice destinations, whether in higher education, training or employment.
Each year typically more than 90 per cent of Hills Road students progress to university, with many students heading to the most competitive degree courses.
Principal, Jo Trump said: “We are particularly pleased that all the hard work of our students, staff, families and previous schools has been so richly rewarded – it’s a great team effort and we are obviously delighted.
“We know from the data that our students go on to outperform students from every other institution type once at university and it’s wonderful that, together with these fantastic A level results, they leave us in such good shape.
