Firearms seized by armed police and teenager arrested at Travelodge in Cambridge




Three firearms were seized and a teenager arrested at the Travelodge in Cambridge.

Armed officers attended the scene in Newmarket Road at about 2pm on Sunday (April 10).

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at about 2pm on Sunday (10 April) with reports of three people in possession of firearms at the Travelodge on Newmarket Road, Cambridge.

“Armed officers attended and arrested a 17-year-old boy of no fixed abode on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply class A.

“He remains in custody at Parkside Police station.

“Officers seized three firearms and the investigation continues to locate the other suspects.”
