Enrol your business now...

There is just five days to enter the inaugural SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards.

The closing date for entries is Friday February 3 and there are a host of categories to suit every SME in the county.

The Cambridge Independent, media partner for the awards, is also sponsoring the category ‘Business Person of the Year’.

The winner will certainly be recognised in its local community, perhaps they look after their staff better than most, or run multiple businesses.

Traditionally as a nation we are slow to exclaim our virtues, but the time has come to change that, head over to our awards website and show our judges just how good you are.

Speaking on behalf of the SME Business Awards Director Damian Cummins said: “This is always one of those heartening awards, people can put so much into being a success but how many actually give something back?

“This is a celebration of selfless success and we look forward to see our first set of finalists.”

The overall winner of the SME Cambridgeshire Business awards will not only benefit from the kudos of winning, in addition the Cambridgeshire Independent is providing a £5,000 advertising campaign to help grow the winning business.

PR guru Ashley Riley added: “The most successful businesses in 2016 were the ones that drove an emotional engagement with their customers.

“We know the most successful SMEs are the ones that have an engaging and a consistent message and build trust with their customers.”

The SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards are open to all sole traders and businesses in the region with less than 250 employees, who commenced business before January 2015, or for new businesses who started after January 2015.
