GCSE results 2019: Coleridge Community College
Coleridge has enjoyed another good year for Year 11 results.
Overall progress is up on last year with 34 per cent of students achieving a strong pass in English and maths and 56 per cent achieving a standard pass in both subjects.
Mark Patterson, headteacher, said: "This is now the fourth year in a row where our examination results demonstrate that we are a good school, a point that Ofsted made very clear when they inspected us recently, in May 2019!
“Our students' performance in the EBacc (English Baccalaureate) subjects is particularly strong, and improved again this year - it is well above the national average, as is our almost 90 per cent entry for all EBacc subjects, which is among the highest in the country.
“We are particularly pleased for our lovely, hard-working students, who can now take the next step in their own learning journey! Our very best wishes to all of our students"
Highlights included:
* 53 per cent of students achieved five GCSEs at 4-9
* 62 per cent of students achieved a pass in maths (4 or above)
