GCSE results day 2022: The Netherhall School

Students at The Netherhall School have achieved "outstanding results" with two scoring all grade 9s in more than ten subjects.

These top grades were achieved by they are Mary Huan and Grace Winchester who came into school to receive their results and celebrate with friends.

The success enjoyed by the whole year has been managed despite disruption by the pandemic, according to staff.

Tom Hunter, assistant principal at The Netherhall School, said: "I am delighted to share the outstanding results from students at The Netherhall School.

"The hard work, diligence and focus of the staff and students has enabled our learners to achieve their potential and progress successfully to the next stage of their education. These results are the best achieved at Netherhall where students have actually sat exams; this being achieved despite disruption from the pandemic through the partnership of the whole school family. We are particularly proud of 2 of our students, who attained straight grade 9s in over 10 subjects each.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff and students for their hard work over the course of the past two years; navigating sustained disruption to education and displaying the resilience and determination to succeed.

"We congratulate all our students and wish them the very best of luck for the future. It has been a pleasure watching them grow into outstanding young adults; we now look forward to supporting our new cohort of year 7s in their journey through secondary school and are preparing to welcome back a record number of Netherhall students who have elected to continue their education with us at The Oakes College, Cambridge."
