GCSE results day 2024: Fantastic results at Bottisham Village College
Students and staff at Bottisham Village College are celebrating fantastic GCSE results, with attainment rising in all areas.
There were many success stories in this year’s cohort, including Phoebe Dix who achieved an impressive grade 9 in all her subjects.
Congratulations are also due to Matilda Swaysland, who achieved grade 9 in eight subjects.
Principal Jenny Rankine said: “I would like to offer my congratulations to all our students.
“Their hard-work, commitment and dedication to their studies has ensured that the majority look forward to the next phase of their journeys in so many post-16 avenues.
“Importantly, this is a year group which has faced much adversity in their time at secondary school and have embraced every challenge which has been thrown their way. Their efforts and attitudes have inspired us all.
“I would like to thank our staff at Bottisham Village College who have supported our students through their education journey. Further thanks goes to the student’s parents and carers for their unwavering support.”
There was also one incredible personal achievement for Kaitlyn Hudson who has suffered a life-threatening illness and achieved a fantastic set of results.
Ms Rankine added: “Kaitlyn is both admired and respected by the year group, and her success will be remembered for years to come.”
Students will return to the college for one final time on 3 December for their certificate evening before embarking on the next chapter of their studies.
