GCSE results day 2024: Impressive results at Stephen Perse Cambridge
GCSE students from Stephen Perse Cambridge are celebrating an impressive set of results, with 71.5 per cent of results graded at 7, 8 or 9.
This year’s cohort has been praised for their “genuine passion for learning” that has inspired their fellow students.
Impressively, some 30.2 per cent of the GCSEs achieved were graded the top score of 9, with 71.5 per cent graded at 7, 8 or 9.
A group of 18 students in the cohort achieved at least eight GCSEs at grade 9.
Among those achieving nine grade 9s were Maya, who is heading to the sixth form to study English literature, music, film and Latin and Dylan, who will study biology, chemistry, maths and economics.
Elliott achieved nine grade 9s and will be studying A-levels in Latin, Greek, history and geography in the sixth form.
“I’m looking forward to specialising at A-level,” he said.

They have worked unbelievably hard, supported by the teaching staff and their own families, who have been instrumental in helping the students manage the pressures of this exam period and achieve their full potential.

Their commendable attitude makes me confident that they will continue to inspire others with their genuine passion for learning. They are inspirational role models for the whole school community. We are looking forward to seeing all they go on to achieve in sixth form.”
