Set back from Glebe Road and overlooking the allotments beyond, premier development Glebe Close offers semi-detached, four-bedroom houses in a private cul-de-sac.

With accommodation spread over three floors, the homes have south-facing gardens and second-floor balconies.

Inside, high-quality specification reigns supreme, with Porcelanosa fitted kitchens, a range of Siemens integrated and free-standing appliances, and contemporary white sanitaryware in the bathrooms.

There are four spacious bedrooms, including a magnificent master with an en-suite and separate dressing area, and the properties have a Predicted Energy Assessment rating of 97 per cent (A).

All of them benefit from mechanical ventilation with heat recovery systems, as well as photovoltaic solar panels which generate power during the day.

The first completions are due very soon, and two of the five properties have already been sold.

In her previous incarnation, Sophie Schofield sold homes to the rich and famous in and around Surrey, before joining Whittlesford High Street-based Enterprise Property Group Ltd in March 2016.

She also spent three years in Dubai recruiting estate agents.

Her duties as sales and marketing manager include appointing estate agents, choosing property specifications, handling development budgets, liaising with construction staff and ultimately seeing the sales through to their conclusion.

“Glebe Close has many features which are unrivalled by other developments in Cambridge,” said Sophie, discussing her favourite aspects of the development.

“It’s not only a small collection of five exclusive, high-end properties with all the modern conveniences, but it also has open views and contemporary architecture, which takes advantage of the space and invites light to flood in through large windows.

“Close to amenities and only a short distance from the city centre, Glebe Close benefits from being tucked away down a private road with garages and parking spaces.”

The five houses are scheduled for completion in June and July, with a ‘dusty shoe’ event for prospective buyers being held on Thursday May 18 from 4pm to 7pm.

“This will give people a prime opportunity to see Plot 2 as it nears completion and to get a feel for the lifestyle Glebe Close will provide.”

There are no plans to expand Glebe Close beyond the five homes.

“Their exclusivity is a key feature of the development,” said Sophie.

EPGL has a number of new housing schemes in the pipeline, including ones in Great Shelford, Bury St Edmunds, Dullingham and Great Chesterford.

“The bespoke nature of EPGL developments allows its homes to be designed for modern living and today’s busy lifestyles, whether they’re conversion schemes preserving the heritage and character of the past or new-build projects with stunning design and layout,” said Sophie.

“With no two developments being the same, our design process ensures we never have a house ‘type’ like so many developers.

“The homes we build are sympathetic to the local areas, use materials that blend with the surroundings and ensure the purchaser is buying a home, not just a house.”

Michael Houlden, of Strutt & Parker, one of the estate agents bringing the Glebe Close properties to market, added:

“We feel this is a rare opportunity to purchase one of only three remaining bespoke, stylish, individual, city townhouses in a highly-regarded residential location that is so convenient for the schooling in the area.

“Each house boasts high specification on three floors, bright and spacious accommodation, a garage and parking, and overlooks open allotments to the rear. Situated in a private and discreet location, we expect a lot of interest now the properties are so near to completion.”

Enterprise Property Group Ltd’s ‘dusty shoe’ event takes place at Glebe Close on Thursday, May 18 between 4pm and 7pm. Alternatively, an appointment can be made through Strutt & Parker (01223 459500) or Bidwells (01223 633738).
