Advance registration at Grantchester10k.org is open until 10am on Thursday, September, 23. There is a family special for accompanied under 12s in the 3k (adults must register separately) and the event is in support of two Addenbrooke’s-based charities.

These are Maggie’s Centre Cambridge - which provides much-needed support to cancer patients and their families - and the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust’s surgical robot campaign which promises a dramatic improvement in surgical outcomes.

All runners will receive a commemorative medal and thanks to lead sponsor, the Lunchtime Company, post-run refreshments will be available - and Carl Verrecchia's ice cream van will also be there. Carlos Guedes from CamFitness will be back to lead the pre-run warm-up and Coach House Health Care will be onsite for help with those niggles and/or a sports massage.

Jo Anthony Photography will return along with the GCR on-course mystery snapper. The courses do not involve public roads and nor will any roads be closed. For safety, the organisers have reduced pinch points, and chip timing for the 10k means that you don’t have to cross the start line the moment the run starts. Registration on the day will be possible, subject to availability.
