Have your say on how City Deal communicates with residents
The Greater Cambridge City Deal wants to hear how residents would like to stay informed of the big decisions they are making in the area.
The City Deal partnership was formed to unlock homes, jobs and preserve quality of life in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire as the area continues to grow.
The City Deal is asking for residents to speak up about preferred communications channels and other feedback that will help improve the City Deal service.
Over the next few years, the partnership will make some important decisions on key issues affecting the area such as transport, housing and skills.
Beth Durham, Strategic Communications Manager for the Greater Cambridge City Deal, said: “The City Deal is still developing - and wants to improve - the way it engages with the many individuals, communities, groups and organisations, set to benefit or be impacted by its important work to secure sustainable economic growth.
I know, from feedback and speaking directly to community representatives, that people value easy access to timely and good quality information and information about how and when they can get involved or find out more.
“By completing this short survey, you can not only help to improve the way we do this but also influence future priorities.”
In the past 12 months the City Deal has carried out 6 consultations, held 46 public exhibitions and receiving a total of 17,362 responses.
In May, it launched a fresh visual identity to promote the partnership of local authorities, business and academia, and has introduced live tweeting from Joint Assembly and Executive Board meetings and a monthly e-newsletter with latest news and forthcoming events.
Next year will see a series of planned events for residents and businesses, outside of consultation exercises, to engage directly with City Deal representatives as well as greater use of digital communications offering bitesize information at the touch of a button.
