Have your say on plans for a segregated cycle route near Addenbrooke's
Residents are being asked for feedback on the scheme which could begin being built as soon as next month.
Ahead of the start of construction on a segregated cycle route along Addenbrooke's Road and part of Hills Road, the Greater Cambridge City Deal is holding drop in events to hear resident feedback on the plans.
Two pre-construction events for the Hills Road and Addenbrooke's Route project will be held, one on Tuesday 17 January, 12:00 - 14:00, at Addenbrooke's Concourse, and on Thursday 26 January, 17:30 - 19:30, at St John the Evangelist's Church, Hills Road.
The proposed plans include raised cycleways and new style bus stop that will aim to make cyclists safer.
Scheme drawings will be displayed and project officers will be present to answer questions about the scheme.
Cross City Cycling is a walking and cycling scheme made up of five different projects; Arbury Road, Links to Cambridge North Rail Station and the Science Park, Ditton Lane and links to East Cambridge, Hills Road and Addenbrooke's Route, Fulbourn/Cherry Hinton Eastern Access.
The Hills Road and Addenbrooke's Road scheme is said to be a key route for people accessing local schools and sixth form colleges as well as the Biomedical Campus.
Works are due to begin in February or March this year.
