Busking and baking enabled a group of Hills Road Sixth Form College students to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each) and Breast Cancer Research.

The lower sixth-formers were taking part in the school’s Social Action Week outside the Guildhall.

Will Raven, one of the organisers, said: “There were singers and guitar players – all from Hills Road music department – and a number of bake sales going on. Everybody was just there working together to raise as much money as possible.

“We decided on Each because it’s a local charity and it supports children.”

About £1,400 was raised in total.
