How to meet children’s author David Walliams in Cambridge this week
Fans of David Walliams will have the chance to meet the bestselling children’s author at Waterstones in Cambridge where he will be signing copies of his new book, The Blunders, on Saturday (December 2).
Shoppers must book a ticket in advance to secure a place in the queue from 10am, which will ensure they meet David and get a signed copy of his book.
The ticket price of £14.99 includes entry and a copy of The Blunders (RRP £14.99) available for collection on the day.
Parents accompanying their children do not require a ticket (one accompanying adult per child with ticket.) Waterstones explains that David will only have time to sign one book per person, per ticket holder and cannot add dedications. A photo opportunity will be available with David in front of the signing table, but only one photo per family is allowed due to time restrictions.
Waterstones say on their website: “We are putting these rules in place for the safety and enjoyment of everyone involved. Please respect each other, and David, on the day. Be kind to each other and take the opportunity whilst in line to make some friends. We look forward to seeing you there!
“Due to the anticipated high turn-out, please come prepared to queue – we will aim to keep you updated on your waiting time. Some outside queuing may be required, so please do come dressed appropriately for all weathers and keep hydrated.”
