Man falls from height in Cambridge onto concrete and another worker
Two men were taken to hospital after one fell from height and landed on the other outside a restaurant in Cambridge.
The incident has been reported to the Health and Safety Executive, who confirmed they are waiting for further information.
Police were called to Prezzo in Bridge Street, Cambridge just before 11.30am on Wednesday (17 September).
A man had fallen from a height of around six metres onto concrete and onto another worker. Both men were taken to hospital.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called to Prezzo on Bridge Street, Cambridge at 11.27am today with reports a man had fallen approximately six metres from height - onto concrete and another worker.
“Both men have been taken to hospital and a scene was put in place as a safety precaution, but has now been lifted.”
On Thursday, the spokesperson added: “The incident is now being dealt with by the Health and Safety Executive.”
The two men were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by the East of England Ambulance Service.
An ambulance spokesperson said: “Two adult men were transported by road to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
