Suzanne Paul, keeper of rare books and early manuscripts at the library, and Professor Rory Naismith took Ian, best known as the editor of satirical magazine Private Eye and for his work on long-running TV series Have I Got News for You, on a jaunt through the Moore Bede and the Old English Bede last week, searching for clues of early English humour. While at the library, Ian also visited the Spitting Image exhibition.
