Nearly 700 runners ran the Cambridge Biomedical Campus on Sunday morning (1 September) as the campus’ held its first 5k, 10k and fun run.
Of the 676 runners who took part, 169 tackled the 5k, 358 ran the 10k and 149 took part in the fun run.
Sponsored by the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (CBC) and Prologis, the event also raised funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and other campus charities.
Runners raised £7,000 for the Royal Papworth Charity, for example.

Nick Kirby, managing director of Cambridge Biomedical Campus Ltd, said: “We run events for staff and the public because we are proud to bring the community together on the campus and show it’s not just somewhere to come when you are visiting a hospital or going to work.
“The event had a real buzz and we had almost 700 participants, including 149 in the free kids fun run, raising thousands of pounds for our charity partners whilst supporting people to stay active.”
