The Cambridge Model Railway Club hosted its annual Model Railway Show on Saturday (13 September) at a new and larger venue – Cambridge Regional College (CRC).
This event featured 26 model railway layouts, along with a wide range of trade stands. The show was held in two large, step-free exhibition halls, offering improved accessibility and more space for visitors and exhibitors alike.
Club member David Charlesworth said: “We had a really positive day; we moved to a new venue so that we could put on a bigger show.
“We had more people visit than we’ve had in previous years, which was really positive for the club, so it was a really enjoyable day.
“We had lots of positive feedback, both from people who visited and also people who were bringing their layouts and their trade stands.
“Cambridge Regional College were very accommodating. We’d like to thank them for that.
“It was a real success, and we’re planning to go back there for our show next year, which is going to be on 12 September 2026. We’re already planning the 33rd show.”
The Cambridge Model Railway Club’s members meet twice a month at the Oddfellows hall on Newmarket Road.
