Film crews have been seen out and about in Cambridge as work begins on an upcoming feature film provisionally titled Varsity, starring The White Lotus actor Leo Woodall.
Woodhall, 29, who is originally from London, played Jack in series two of the popular drama series. Filming locations for Apple TV film Varsity, which is being made by Trinity Productions Limited, have included Trinity Lane, Garrett Hostel Lane, and Free School Lane.
A sign on location at Trinity Lane read: “Trinity Productions Limited (the ‘company’) is currently in production of a feature film provisionally known as Varsity.
“If you enter this area, it is likely that you will be filmed and your image and/or voice may appear in our filming.”
Woodhall, who was named a 2023 Screen International Star of Tomorrow, was spotted cycling along the Backs. It is not known when the film will be released.
Meanwhile, Woodhall, who previously appeared in an episode of Holby City and the Universal series The Vampire Academy, will next be seen as co-lead Dexter Mayhew in the BBC adaptation of David Nicholl’s novel One Day. He also stars in upcoming film Nomad, in which he plays a mysterious loner with a bizarre condition that takes him to the ends of the earth. And he was cast by the Russo brothers in the US spy series The Citadel.
