The new luxury Everyman Cambridge cinema has opened its doors at the Grand Arcade this week.
With five screens and 328 seats – in the form of velvet sofas and armchairs – the cinema is showing films this week including Anora, The Apprentice, Gladiator II, Wild Robot and Venom: The Last Dance.
Free tickets for all showings in screen five until Thursday, courtesy of Range Rover, were eagerly snapped up by those wanting to try out the cinema, which features an extensive lounge and bar area serving wine, beer, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
Food and drink can also be ordered and served directly to your seat while you enjoy your film, with the likes of hand-stretched pizzas, premium burgers and small plates including buttermilk chicken, tempura prawns and hot honey halloumi on the menu.
Vegan dog and padron peppers are among the plant-based options, while milkshakes, warm cookie dough and build-your-own sundaes are available for those with sweet tooths.
Adult tickets are priced at £16.60, with concessions charged £14.60.
Membership is available from £95 a year, which comes with six free tickets and money off food and drink, among other perks, including the chance to bring a guest for free on Mondays.
Higher membership tiers are priced at £350 a year, with 24 tickets, and £680 for a year for unlimited film for two.
Julie Kervadec, marketing manager at Grand Arcade, said: “We are delighted that Everyman has opened on our first floor. It’s a big feature for Grand Arcade.
“As a five-screen cinema, it is one of their biggest, and the opening was very successful.
“Everyone has been very impressed by how beautiful and cosy the venue is and how welcoming the staff are. It’s just a wonderful venue.”
