In pictures: Northstowe Running Festival proves a big hit
A range of courses greeted the runners at this year’s Northstowe Running Festival, which took place on Saturday (31 August).
A half marathon, 10k, 5k and family mile all provided a different challenge, and there was also food, drink and entertainment on offer.
Marcin Lis, founder and managing director of Northstowe Running Festival Events Ltd, said: “We were thrilled to welcome runners back to Northstowe and to introduce our new home at the Western Park Sports Pavilion.
“Over 700 participants took on one of the various distances, from a mile to a half marathon, with many running in support of our partner charities, Cambridge Care Network, Blue Smile, Cam Sight, and Cornerstone.
“For most half marathon runners, this was the first chance to experience the new footbridge and explore the newly-developed lakes.
“The atmosphere at the venue was buzzing, thanks to Matt Webb from Star Radio and the variety of activities available.
“The day concluded with a lively performance by Or Wot and an outdoor cinema under the stars.”
