In pictures: University of Cambridge shows its support for the people of Ukraine with vigil
A vigil was held outside Senate House in Cambridge for all those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The building was lit up in the colours of the Ukrainian flag in a show of solidarity on Thursday evening (March 3), as staff and students listened to speeches.
There was also a clear message on the front of neighbouring King’s College Chapel.
Meanwhile, the Bridge of Sighs at St John’s College was also lit up in blue and yellow.
And the Guildhall, home of Cambridge City Council, was similarly illuminated in a show of solidarity.
A march is planned on Saturday (March 5), and advice has been issued for people on how to support Ukraine.
