Julia Roberts fans have been hoping for a glimpse of the Hollywood star in Cambridge this week as filming on her new star-studded movie After the Hunt took place.

The actress, who is best known for her roles in Notting Hill and Pretty Woman, is currently filming with co-stars Andrew Garfield, of Spider-man fame, and Chloe Sevigny, who has appeared in Boys Don’t Cry, American Psycho and last year starred in sci-fi thriller Foe. The star of hit TV show The Bear, Ayo Edebiri, is also part of the cast.

After the Hunt, which is directed by Luca Guadagnino of recent hit Challengers, follows the story of Roberts as a college professor who “finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues, according to the film’s logline.

As she deals with the situation that unfolds, “a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light”.
