Kouros takes on 10K Wellness Walk London Bridges for Diabetes UK
An inspiring fundraiser from Cambridge is preparing to pound the pavements once more in aid of Diabetes UK.
Kouros Majidi, who lives with Type 2 diabetes, is taking part in the 10K Wellness Walk London Bridges to add to his list of fundraising challenges.
The event takes place on Sunday, 28 September and Kouros is busy getting his practice walks in.
“It’s good to do walks as regular exercise, it helps me to manage my diabetes plus, of course, the money raised is going to a good cause,” said Kouros, 57, a retired photographic technician.
Previously he has tackled the Diabetes UK One Million Step challenges four years in succession and he is doing the London Bridges walk, from Battersea Park to Potters Field Park for the third time. He has also completed a Thames Path Walk.
Peter Shorrick, head of the Midlands and East region for Diabetes UK, said: “We are very grateful to supporters like Kouros who do so much to help us fund vital research which in turn helps improve the lives of those living with diabetes.”
