Late-night crash in Ely leaves driver with life-threatening injuries




A crash in Ely has left a man in a life-threatening condition.

Police are keen to hear from witnesses after the collision in Lynn Road, which happened shortly after midnight, in the early hours of Sunday, and involved a white Citroen Dispatch van.

The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains at Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge.

Cambridgeshire police appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage, or believes they may have seen the vehicle in the build up to it, to come forward.
