Come to Cambridge and learn a musical instrument this weekend

Free music lessons are being offered in Cambridgeshire this weekend as part of a national event called Learn to Play.

In Cambridge, both Millers Music, on Sussex Street, and PMT Cambridge are taking part along with Linton Heights Junior School.

Head to one of the venues where there will be experts on hand to help you start learning a music instrument.

Both Millers Music and Linton Heights will be taking part on Saturday (March 23), while PMT in East Road is offering a free introduction to playing on Saturday and Sunday.

Supported by Jools Holland, Learn to Play is run by the charity Music for All.

Paul McManus, CEO at Music for All, said: “While we all may have different tastes and preferred genres, there is no doubt that music is something that is universally loved around the world.

“Our Learn to Play Day events are all about spreading the joy of playing a musical instrument and inspiring those of all ages to take up something that will not only have health benefits for the future, but that also brings so many people together.”
