37.8% of Cambridge residents have gone to the polls to vote for 15 city councillors.

There is one seat up for each ward, with two in East Chesterton.

The council is currently controlled by Labour, with the party holding 25 seats. Liberal Democrats hold 13, the Green Party has one, and two seats are held by independent councillors.

No independent candidate are standing in the city. Labour, Liberal Democrats, Conservatives and the Greens are fighting for every chair available.

UKIP’s Peter Burkinshaw is standing for East Chesterton and Libertarian Aiden Christopher Ulrich Powlesland is in the running for Castle.
