Van and tractor crash on A14 leads to miles of queuing traffic
This was the scene on the A14 this morning (Monday, October 25) after a crash involving a van and a tractor.
Two lanes were shut eastbound at Godmanchester following the collision.
Traffic was left queuing for about five to seven miles following the crash. Diversions were set up and there was congestion on surrounding roads.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.37am today (October 25) with reports of a collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 near Godmanchester.
“The collision, which involved a tractor and van, blocked the road. No injuries have been reported. The incident has caused increased congestion in the area.”
Recovery vehicles cleared the carriageway by about 8.30am.
Both lanes have now reopened.
