Man charged with murder following disappearance of Julie Buckley from Cambridgeshire village

A man has been charged with murder following the disappearance of a woman in a Cambridgeshire village.

Karl Hutchings, 47, of Hill, Christchurch, near March, was charged on Sunday evening (16 February) and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary detectives announced on Friday that they were treating the disappearance of 54-year-old Julie Buckley as murder.

Julie, from Christchurch, near March, has not been seen since late January.

While police hoped to find her alive, they said evidence suggests she had come to serious harm.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information about her whereabouts and would like to hear from anyone who has seen her in recent weeks.
