Man dies after serious crash on A11

A man has died following a serious collision involving a lorry on the A11 this morning (Friday, June 7).

Police were called to the scene at about 3.50am to the incident on the northbound A11 at Barton Mills.

The northbound carriageway remains closed from the B1085 at Red Lodge to the A1101 Five Ways roundabout to allow an investigation into the collision to take place.

A Highways England spokesman said: “Highways England is working closely with our emergency services colleagues Suffolk Police, who are leading the response to this incident.”

The fire and ambulance service also attended.

Witnesses or anybody who may have any relevant dash-cam footage are asked to call Suffolk Police’s serious collision investigation team on 101 quoting CAD 24 of today (June 7).
