Man in Cambridge Magistrates' Court court following fatal collision on A505
A man is due to appear in court this morning in connection with a fatal collision on the A505 at Melbourn yesterday morning (2 February).
Jose Galdon-Donate, 55, from Cartegena, Murcia, Spain, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court by video link.
The crash happened at about 3.45am and involved a white Mitsubishi Shogun and a lorry.
The driver of the Shogun, Vasile Chiorean, 48, of Old Rope Walk, Haverhill, died at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it is urged to contact police.
