Man in hospital with serious injuries after assault in Ely

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Ely which left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
The ambulance service called police officers at 2.23am on Sunday (14 April) with a report of violence on Market Street, Ely.
When the police arrived, they found a man unconscious. The man, who is in his 30s, was then taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.
A 30-year-old man from Brandon, Suffolk, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) without intent, and has been bailed to Wednesday, 10 July.
