Met Police’s Flying Squad make arrest in Chesterton, Cambridge, relating to west London burglary




The Met Police’s Flying Squad have arrested a man in Cambridge in connection with a residential burglary in west London in 2017.

The officers carried out their investigation at the home in Fallowfield, Chesterton, this morning (May 27).

A Met Police spokesman said: “A 35-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of theft.

“He was taken to a Cambridgeshire police station where he remains at this time.”

A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson confirmed officers assisted their colleagues from the Met.

The Flying Squad is a branch of the Met’s Serious and Organised Crime Command.

East Chesterton Labour Councillors Gerri Bird, Carla Mcqueen, Baiju Thittala and county councillor Elisa Meschini said in a statement: "We like other residents are shocked at the raid of a first floor flat in Fallowfields at 8am this morning.”
