Molly takes on wheelchair 10k for Over The Wall

Cambridge student Molly Hunt has raised almost £1,080 for charity after completing the King's Lynn 10k in a wheelchair in 43 minutes.

She was raising the funds for Over The Wall, the children’s charity that helped her as a child.

The 24-year-old, who comes from Cambridge, was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2004. Over The Wall supports children and young people facing serious health challenges through free transformational residential camps across the UK.

Molly said, “I’m not exaggerating when I say that that first week at camp changed my life. I suddenly became a child again. Camp is the most special place to be - and always will be. Raising money for Over The Wall gives me the incentive to cross the finish line. It also provides the perfect motivation to train and be in shape to complete the race. If I am helping to raise funds for camp - then I know I can, and will do it.”

“Even now when I face something tough- I think back to camp and say to myself ‘you can do this- look what you achieved then!’. Camp has certainly offered me many benefits that have helped me later on in life- which is why I’m delighted to be giving back to a cause I truly believe in.”
