Motorcyclist dies after crash in Wisbech
A 19-year-old motorcyclist has died after a collision in Wisbech.
Police were called at 6.45pm to a two-vehicle collision on Churchill Road at the junction with Elm Road yesterday (Sunday, January 16).
The man who had been riding a red Suzuki motorbike died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, a white BMW 520D was unhurt and is assisting with police inquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “Anyone who saw the crash, or has any information or dashcam footage from the moments leading up to it, is urged to contact contact us via web chat, online forms or call 101, quoting incident 411 of 16 January.”
Four other people have also died in crashes on the A1.
A collision on the northbound carriageway south of Stamford just before 1am on Sunday, January 16 claimed the lives of three men and left two seriously hurt.
And just before 7am on Monday, January 17, a person died following a four-vehicle crash near Sawtry.
