Multiple vehicle collision causes closure of section of A14 near Cambridge




A collision involving multiple vehicles led to the closure of a stretch of the A14 near Cambridge which caused long delays this afternoon (Thursday).

A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.31pm this afternoon with reports of a collision on the A14 eastbound at Stow Cum Quy involving four vehicles.”

National Highways added: “The A14 is closed eastbound between J35 (Stow Cum Quy) and J36 (A11) due to a multi-vehicle collision. A strategic diversion is in place on approach to the incident.”

The crash caused long delays around the Milton area.

The road was reopened before 6pm.

It follows earlier delays on the A10, where Cambridge Water set up temporary traffic lights due to a burst water main.
