New Co-op launches in city to serve Marleigh community





Co-op opened its newest store in Cambridge last Friday (December 15) at Marleigh, a new residential neighbourhood in East Cambridge delivered by housebuilder The Hill Group and Marshall Group.

The 2,500 sq ft shop – located in Jubilee Square, off Newmarket Road, opens between 7am-10pm daily, and has created 12 jobs.

Marleigh’s Co-op includes an in-store bakery, hot food, a Costa coffee express machine and a free cash machine.

Stephen Bastiani, store manager, said: “We have had a great response, and it was wonderful to have children from Marleigh Primary School to join us on our special day to cut the ribbon and declare the new store open to serve the community.
