Newnham Associates and Women of the Year summer event returns to Cambridge
Dame Carol Black will be the guest speaker at this year’s Newnham Associates and Women of the Year (WOY) summer event which takes place this Saturday (June 18) at Newnham College.
After two years online, the WOY alumnae will be coming back to Cambridge for a summer lunch, guest speaker and panel discussion. The event is titled ‘There is no Blueprint - why lifelong coaching matters for women’.
Professor Dame Carol Black, former principal of Newnham College and the first female president of the Royal College of Physicians, is also current chair of the British Library. She will speak about her remarkable life and career and the many changes she has navigated.
The issues she raises will be disscussed further with an expert panel featuring Clare MacGregor, founder of ‘Coaching Inside and Out’, which helps offenders transform their lives through life coaching, Rav Bumbra, an entrepreneur with more than 20 years in the tech industry, and Annabel Poate-Joyner, a chartered clinical and coaching psychologist with more than 30 years of professional experience.
Also present on the day will be actress and communication coach Leonie Mellinger and Julie Etchingham, president of Women of the Year and Newnham Alumna, who will chair the panel discussion.
