Night Market returns to Cambridge city centre
The popular event will be back for a third instalment tonight in market square.
Featuring a movie double bill, the event kicks-off at 6.30pm with the highly-acclaimed children’s animated film, Toy Story 2. This will be followed at 8.30pm by the 1964 James Bond classic, Goldfinger (rated PG), starring Sean Connery and Honor Blackman.
As with previous screenings, this is a free event in market square, outside the Guildhall, and limited seating is provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Moviegoers are recommended to arrive early and/or bring their own portable chairs.
Ian Sandison, chairman of Cambridge BID, said: “Toy Story was such a hit with families at last month’s event that it was only right to follow with the sequel, Toy Story 2 – as well as another timeless classic, Goldfinger.
“Once again, we will be using a special LED screen, which works brilliantly in daylight and darkness, enabling us to start earlier for younger film fans.”
The continental-style market will feature more than 50 businesses and pop-ups selling a variety of street food, beverages, clothing and gifts, including Venezualan pabellons and Nigerian delicacies.
