Police are appealing for the public's help to find a nine-year-old boy who has not been seen since this morning (Wednesday, October 3).

Jonathan Richmond Van Ruitenburg was last seen by his mum just before 9am on his way to school in the church yard in Great Shelford.

He did not arrive at school and when the church yard was checked he was not there.

Jonathan is black, slim and has curly hair and light eyes. He was wearing black trousers and a red jumper.

DI Anthony Grief said: “We are keen to find Jonathan as soon as we can and would urge anyone who has seen him since 9am today to contact us.

“Officers, with the assistance of the police helicopter and the dog unit, have been searching the area since he was reported missing and those searches will continue.”

Anyone with information about Jonathan’s whereabouts is urged to contact police on 999.
